Mailing List Subscription
The Faerie Shop has two regular Contact lists that people can subscribe to. One is in email form and the other is a newsletter sent out 3 or 4 times per year. Most people subscribe to both, but you can make a choice as to which you prefer. They are both described below:
Email List
Our email list is predominantly used to provide information about Faerie SchoolTM programs and other special events. On some occasions information will also be provided about special product offers relating to our physical store at Salamanca or our Online Store, or special offers availale only to customers. Members of our email list are notified of every Faerie and Pixie School program (whereas we do not post letters out for every holiday program). Email list subscribers will always receive the earliest notice of our programs and and may also be advised about special offers and events that may not be made available through the postal mailing list or to members of the public. (This is particularly the case where an offer or event is limited and demand is likely to be high.) The email list is mainly for parents.
Postal Mailing List
The Faerie Shop knoiws that children love to receive letters. Children on our postal mailing list receive a personally addressed letter from the faeries 3 or 4 times a year. The newsletter has a short note from faerie Moonbeam and provides details of our forthcoming Faerie School Classes, as well as latest news from The Faerie Shop and information about special events. The purpose of the letter is to inform both children and their parents, not to sell products. (If you wish to receive advice of every Faerie and Pixie School program, it is recommended that you also provide an email contact address).

A Terrarium - a faerie garden
.jpg)
Would you like to make a garden for the Faeries to play in while its cold and snowy outside? We know that the winter Faeries love being out in the cold but some faeries, like Faerie Sweetpea like to have somewhere nice and warm to sleep. To make a terrarium you will need a big glass jar or bowl; some soil (with a sprinkle of faerie dust); some precious stones or some moss or grass seed; some gems (the help to keep it warm); and something soft to make into a faerie bed.
- Place the gems at the bottom of the jar. Then for the next layer sprinkle some soil along with the Faerie dust, enough to give the moss or grass something to grow in. If you are using grass seed you can sprinkle it on and then another thin layer of soil. If you have some moss you can gently put it enough in to cover the soil. You should now have some beautiful sparkly layers to your Faerie garden.
- You can make a bed for the faeries to sleep in out of something lovely
and soft like some wool or feathers. A nice spot for your terrarium
would be near a window so the Faeries can see it easily! Please don't
put a lid on the jar otherwise the faeries might not be able to get
inside!! We hope you have lots of visitors to your indoor Faerie garden.
